By accessing or using the Trust Circle mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

Description of Service
Trust Circle is a personal safety application that provides:
- Real-time location sharing with designated contacts
- One-tap SOS emergency alerts with optional video streaming
- Digital storage for identification documents
- AI-powered legal and travel information assistance (Circle Chat)
- Campus and emergency contact management
- Trusted network notifications and alerts
User Responsibilities
Account Security
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Ensuring your contact information is accurate and current
Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Use the App for illegal purposes or to harass others
- Share false emergency alerts or misuse SOS features
- Upload malicious code or attempt to breach security
- Impersonate others or create fraudulent accounts
- Reverse engineer or copy any part of the App
- Use the App to stalk, threaten, or invade others' privacy
Important Limitations
Not a Substitute for Emergency Services
Trust Circle is not a replacement for 911 or local emergency services. In life-threatening emergencies, always contact official emergency services first. Trust Circle is designed to alert your personal network and provide documentation, but cannot guarantee emergency response.
Service Availability
While we strive for 100% uptime, Trust Circle functionality depends on:
- Your device's internet or cellular connection
- GPS and location services being enabled
- Camera and microphone permissions (for video features)
- Battery life and device functionality
We cannot guarantee uninterrupted service and are not liable for service interruptions.

Circle Chat Limitations
Circle Chat provides general information only and does not constitute legal advice. For specific legal matters, consult a qualified attorney. Information provided may not reflect the most current laws or regulations.
Recording Laws
You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws regarding audio and video recording in your jurisdiction. Some areas require consent from all parties being recorded. Trust Circle is not responsible for your compliance with recording laws.
Digital Document Storage
While Trust Circle allows you to store digital copies of identification documents, we recommend:
- Carrying physical copies of important documents
- Verifying with local authorities if digital versions are accepted
- Ensuring stored documents are current and accurate
- Understanding that digital IDs may not be legally recognized in all jurisdictions
Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of Trust Circle are owned by Trust Circle and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You retain ownership of content you upload (videos, photos, documents), but grant Trust Circle a license to store and transmit this content to your designated contacts as part of the service.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- Trust Circle is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind
- We are not liable for any damages arising from use or inability to use the App
- We do not guarantee that the App will meet your specific safety needs
- We are not responsible for third-party actions or responses to your alerts
- Total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service (if any) in the past 12 months
Termination
We reserve the right to:
- Suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
- Modify or discontinue any feature of the App
- Refuse service to anyone for any lawful reason
You may terminate your account at any time through the App settings. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Significant changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
Governing Law
